Web Projects

When a classic website is no longer enough.

Custom platforms, portals, internal tools, SaaS MVPs — with proper backup strategy, monitoring, CI/CD and full code handover. From Lower Saxony, Germany — nationwide and beyond, no agency lock-in.

Boundaries

When is this the right service?

Web project fits when …

  • You need logged-in areas, database logic, custom workflows
  • Stripe subscriptions, multi-tenancy or role system
  • APIs to third-party systems (ERP, CRM, external data sources)
  • You want real ownership of code & infrastructure
  • Requirements are growing — you need a scalable base

What's built in

Not just code — an entire infrastructure.

What costs extra at large agencies is included here from day one. Backups, monitoring, security, CI/CD, docs — standard, not premium.

Proper backup strategy

Daily automated database backups with 30-day retention, weekly off-site backups, point-in-time recovery. You never lose data.

Monitoring & uptime

Sentry for errors, Vercel Analytics & Logflare for performance, Uptime Robot with SMS/mail alert on outages. Problems get spotted — before customers report them.

CI/CD & version control

Every code change runs through GitHub Actions: linter, type-check, tests, automatic deploy to Vercel. Rollback in 30 seconds.

Security by default

Row-level security in Supabase, OWASP-Top-10-compliant headers, regular dependency audits, secret rotation, 2FA login. No WordPress plugin nightmare.

Custom tools & dashboards

Bespoke internal tools, admin cockpits, reporting dashboards. What you need in daily business — built around your processes, not crammed into a SaaS corset.

Cleanly integrated APIs

Stripe, Resend, OpenAI, Maps, ERP/CRM, Zapier — third-party systems wired in stably and versioned. Webhooks with retry logic, idempotency, audit log.

Project types

Six classes I build regularly.

Platforms & marketplaces

Multi-sided (vendor ↔ customer), with Stripe Connect, commission model, reviews, search, filters — the complete setup that turns an idea into a running system.

Member & customer portals

Login-protected areas with role system, Stripe subscriptions, custom workflows. Similar to our own customer portal — but tailored to your brand and your processes.

SaaS MVPs

Got an idea for a software product? From wireframe to a running MVP in 6–12 weeks. With auth, billing, analytics and a deployment setup that scales with you.

Internal tools & cockpits

Warehouse overview, order pipeline, reporting dashboards, employee tools — faster and more precise than any SaaS, because built exactly around your data and processes.

Multilingual & complex sites

Enterprise sites with 5+ languages, headless CMS, multi-region hosting, editorial workflow. When a classic website is no longer enough, this class starts.

AI-powered applications

OpenAI, Anthropic or custom LLM integrations. Chatbots with your own knowledge (RAG), automated writing, smart search. Pragmatically applied, not hype.

Tech stack

Proven stack, no experiments.

I build on a small, focused toolchain — one that works together, is well documented, and where you'll still find developers in 5 years. No grab-bag of ten frameworks.

How a project runs

From workshop to a running system.

  1. 01
    Discovery & scoping
Workshop (2–3 h) on goals, users, data, integrations. You get a detailed concept with architecture sketch, user flows and effort estimate. The workshop is credited against the project.
  2. 02
    Fixed price or T&M
Based on the concept, either a fixed-price offer (for clearly scoped projects) or time & material (for exploratory projects). Transparent, traceable, no fine print.
  3. 03
    Sprint-based delivery
Weekly sprints with a preview URL. You see progress live, give feedback, can re-prioritize. No 6-month black box.
  4. 04
    Launch + monitoring
Go-live with load test, monitoring setup, smoke tests. The first 4 weeks: active observation — all edge cases get caught before they wake you up at night.
  5. 05
    Maintenance & evolution
Optional: care package with SLA, monthly update budget, quarterly review. Or you take over yourself — full docs and handover are standard.

Investment

No gut-feel fixed price. Understand first, then quote.

Web projects are never the same twice. Instead of a one-size-fits-all price, after the discovery workshop you get a concrete offer — either as a fixed price or as time & material with a transparent hourly rate.

No risk: first the discovery workshop, then a concrete offer — no obligation.

FAQ

Common questions.

What does a web project cost?+

It depends heavily on scope — a small internal tool is a very different beast from a SaaS platform. In the discovery workshop we estimate the effort precisely and you get a concrete offer. Just tell me briefly what you have in mind.

How long does a project take?+

Pure custom tools: 3–6 weeks. Platforms with auth/billing/custom logic: 8–14 weeks. SaaS MVPs: 12–20 weeks. After the discovery workshop you get a concrete plan with milestones.

What happens to my data?+

Hosting in DE region available (Vercel + Supabase Frankfurt). Own backups: daily automatic, 30-day retention, weekly off-site. You can request a full database dump at any time.

Do I own the code?+

Yes — fully. You get the GitHub repo, all access, technical docs. If you ever want to continue with someone else, you can — without lock-in. I don't play the classic agency-hostage game.

Who handles updates and security?+

In the care package: I do. Framework updates (Next.js, React, dependencies), security audits, performance reviews, monitoring debrief — monthly. If you take it over yourself, there's a training and docs.

What about GDPR and contracts?+

Data processing agreements with all sub-processors (Vercel, Supabase, Stripe, Resend) per GDPR Art. 28. Cookie banner, privacy policy scaffold, technical-organizational measures — all documented.

Can I start small and expand later?+

That's exactly the default path. MVP live in 8 weeks, then iterate. The architecture is designed from the start so that scaling is not a rewrite.
